Prerequisites:

1) Install Visual Studio 2013. Version above Express is mandatory.  

2) Install Visual Studio SDK 2013. The solution won't load correctly unless it's installed.


Connecting to the source control:

git clone https://git01.codeplex.com/vstalk


Inside the Visual Studio solution:

1) Set VsTalk.Extension as StartUp Project

2) Go to VsTalk.Extension Properties

3) Open Debug tab

4) Start external program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe 

5) Command line arguments: /rootsuffix Exp


If your VS version is below 2013 

1) Open $/vstalk/trunk/VSTalk/VSTalk.Extension/VSTalk.Extension.csproj in text editor

2) Find <MinimumVisualStudioVersion>12.0</MinimumVisualStudioVersion>

3) Change it to <MinimumVisualStudioVersion>{your version}</MinimumVisualStudioVersion>


In order to open VSTalk.Architecture project install Visual Paradigm for UML 10.2 Community Edition.


A project installer is generated after each build, path $\trunk\VSTalk\VSTalk.Extension\bin\Release\VSTalk.Extension.vsix

Looks like the 2012 SDK requires the target framework version to be updated to 4.5.
